10/3/26 - Riesling Harvest Day - General Admission

October 3rd, 2026, starting at 11:45pm and lasting until the evening. Designated parking areas will be specified for harvest attendees. At noon we will have a brief training session on picking the clusters of grapes, after which those that participate will spend 4-5 hours harvesting grapes. It is not hard work but requires stamina to remain on your feet for so long and to carry trays of grapes weighing over 22 pounds (neighbors can help each other.)

After finishing the grape picking, guests will get the chance to watch the process of pressing the grapes into juice, the first step in the winemaking process. This will be followed by a special tasting and the opportunity to buy wines with an employee discount — a hefty one-third for most wines. The event will end with a festive harvest meal prepared by Chef Chris Garlock, his famous grape fed venison bourguignon and Dorothee’s peach cake. There will be a vegetarian option.
